This workshop addresses the unspoken truths of business finance: how money truly circulates, what financial metrics are essential to track, and how to structure your business to ensure you retain what you earn. Your Expert Guide: Vivian Kaye
We are privileged to feature Vivian Kaye, a distinguished serial entrepreneur and business mentor, as our Resident Expert. Vivian’s journey is a testament to resilience and strategic financial management; she successfully bootstrapped KinkyCurlyYaki to a seven-figure valuation without external funding. With over 15 years of experience, Vivian has mentored more than 300 entrepreneurs, contributing to programs like FoundHers Innovation Labs and Humber College's Entrepreneurship Program.
Vivian’s expertise is widely recognized, with features in prestigious publications such as The New York Times and the Toronto Star, and appearances on CityTV's Cityline. She has collaborated with leading brands including Shopify, Amazon, and American Express Canada. Known for her direct and practical approach, Vivian is dedicated to guiding early-stage Black entrepreneurs through the realities of building thriving, sustainable businesses, especially in environments where traditional support systems may be scarce.
The Entrepreneur in Residence Program Series
This workshop is a cornerstone of the Toronto Public Library’s Entrepreneur in Residence program.
